Portraits
A portrait is a very informative work of art.
It must be able to tell the story of the model.
I like to place personality traits around the figure to explain about
his/her personality. I have done a few but not as many as I'd like.
Here are some examples:
TENLEY LARK

I consider this one one of my finest examples of a portrait
This is Ms. Tenley Lark, who I think is Detroit's most lovely
creatures. She is quick witted, urban but loves nature. At this time she is a
chef at one of Detroit's finest resturants. Her creativity is remarkable.
her mother commissioned me to do this 24'' x 48'' oil on wood portrait in 2003.
AL
SCHAERGES
This portrait of friend attorney Alan Schaerges was a play on his jovial sense
of humor. Included around him are several bits of his personal life. To the
right of Al is the sexy wave of the hand of Alan's partner in law, Ms. Betty
Huster. Both are fighters for the rights and laws protecting all "Cass
Cooridor-ians". This 40"x22" watercolor was commissioned in
1999. Mr. Schaerges has it hanging on the wall seen here depicted in his office
on Second Ave and Forest on the Wayne State University Campus.
